Live Pessimistically

Educations have taught us people should live optimistically, especially in adversity.

In a peaceful world nowadays, meaning of “adversity” might have changed to some extent, “optimism” and “pessimism” might have been misunderstood as well. It may be the lifestyle of the majority, the small potatoes, that living in a city struggling for life.

Some people seem to be optimistic in daily life. They sit in front of the desk chatting with colleagues with laughter echoing in the office all day long, complaining about the high price of tissues and the mean boss, longing for the next payday.

Some people, in the contrast, were defeated time and time again and still striving for their ideal life. They become much calmer and more indifferent to everything; they look depress and pessimistic.

I believed to be optimistic should be my attitude. So I told myself not be bothered by anything, not to care much about anything, not to complain about anything descends on me. Whatever happened, it happened for some reason. For now, it might be a misfortune, but one day I would benefit from it.

That attitude did help me live through several unlucky months, which kept me away from depression so that I could always smile to my friends. However, I live through adversity after adversity but I am still living in adversity.

He is self-contemptuous and sensitive, but at the same time he has indigenous imprescriptible dignity. He is pessimistic because he talks little but has been thinking all the time about the world, the country, the society and himself. But nothing is perfect, so thinking too much easily depresses him.
